Isembard Raises $50m Series A to Open 25 AI-Powered Factories Serving Aerospace and Defence
At Zyla Accountants, nothing brings us more pride than seeing our clients redefine their industries. Today, we are absolutely thrilled to celebrate a monumental milestone for Isembard, who have just announced a $50 million Series A funding round.
This achievement comes less than 12 months after their Seed round, signalling the incredible pace at which Isembard is moving to solve one of the most critical challenges of our time: the erosion of industrial capacity.
The Vision: 25 AI-Powered Factories by 2026
The manufacturing sector is currently facing a "perfect storm." While demand from aerospace, defence, and robotics is surging, the supply chain is fragile. With 95% of production handled by small businesses, many of whose owners are nearing retirement, the industrial base of the West is at risk.
Isembard is the decisive answer to this gap. This new capital will accelerate their mission to:
Open 25 factories across the UK, US, and Europe by the end of 2026.
Expand engineering teams in the UK and US.
Launch operations into Germany, France, and Ukraine.
Powered by MasonOS
What sets Isembard apart isn't just their rapid scale, but the intelligence behind it. Their proprietary AI system, MasonOS, serves as an "agentic operating layer." It integrates everything from quoting and scheduling to quality control and delivery into a single, automated system.
By empowering exceptional operators and franchisees with this technology, Isembard is making it possible to launch high-precision factories from the ground up, preserving local ownership while strengthening sovereign industrial capability.
A World-Class Partnership
The Series A round was led by Union Square Ventures (early backers of giants like Twitter and Coinbase), with participation from Tamarack Global, IQ Capital, Notion Capital, and CIV.
The round also features an impressive roster of angel investors, including Alex Bouaziz (CEO of Deel), Andrei Danescu (CEO of Dexory), and Matt Briers (former CFO of Wise). As Rebecca Kaden of Union Square Ventures noted, Isembard is "redefining the process of owning and running a factory" at a moment when the world needs it most.
"Manufacturing is the origin of our security, prosperity and sense of purpose as nations. This Series A enables us to open more factories, invest in MasonOS, and recruit the best engineers... Our mission is to forge industrial acceleration." — Alexander Fitzgerald, Founder and CEO of Isembard
A Proud Partner in the Journey
At Zyla, we are honored to support Alexander and the entire Isembard team as they build the infrastructure of tomorrow. Their blend of deep operational expertise and cutting-edge AI is exactly the kind of innovation that moves the needle for the global economy.
Congratulations, Team Isembard! We can't wait to see the first of those 25 factories go live.
